About Chloe Lemonnier
Chloe studied at the ESCE, a France based business school for international trade during which she was able to work and study in different countries before getting her Master’s degree in 2015. She has now over 5 years experience in the offshore wind energy sector.
Education and early career
As part of her studies for her Master’s degree, Chloe had the opportunity to work for Business France, the French government’s agency for international trade. Based in the Norwegian office within the offshore energy and naval industry department, her goal was to support French SMEs to export in Norway.
After completing her degree, Chloe gained experience in business management, contributing to the early development of a start up in ethical menswear fashion dealing with the financial management of the company and its marketing development.
Professional Experience
Prior to working in the renewable energy sector, Chloe worked for the International Diplomatic Academy, a Paris based intergovernmental organisation dedicated to the promotion of modern diplomacy, contributing to the analysis of the major geopolitical challenges of the contemporary world. She worked closely with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Special Advisor for the organisation of diplomatic conferences and assisted the organisation’s President in his daily responsibilities.
After this experience, she wanted to go back to the energy sector with a focus on renewables which lead her to the offshore wind industry.
Why offshore wind?
“Working in offshore wind means actively driving the shift toward cleaner energy by reducing our reliance on oil and gas—a crucial step in addressing one of the most pressing global challenges of our generation. This was the chance for me to be part of this global effort and make a positive impact on the environment while learning everyday in an innovative and constantly growing industry.”
