For our final Tech Session for 2020 we asked the thorny question: Big Bolted Connections, is the industry ready?

This was the fifth Tech session in our 2020 series. Our original plan had been to run our Foundation conference for a second year but then, well then 2020 happened. Here at Empire, we are resourceful by nature and so rather than just do nothing, we took our conference virtual.

I for one, am so glad that we did. Our Tech Sessions have been a run away success. Across the five sessions, we have had well in excess of 1000 live views and many more on demand streams of the recordings.

Session five, Big Bolted Connections, was the most popular to date. We had a live audience of 167, many of whom got involved with the ‘ask the audience’ polls and the lively chat stream throughout the session. Thank you to everyone who took part, it really would be nothing with out you.

I’d like also to specially thank our speakers, Marc Seidel from Siemens Gamesa and Colin Schroder from ITH Bolting Technology. (A special mention to ITH Bolting Technology, a Tech Sessions series sponsor).

The Tech Sessions will be back in early 2021. We’ve set the bar high in 2020 so myself and team have got a lot to live up to. It’s a challenge we are relishing to get stuck into after a well earned Christmas break.

The December Tech Session is here for you to view on demand. We are also looking to do more sessions soon. Follow Empire Engineering on LinkedIn to keep up to date with all our latest news.
